Mix & Mastering
Our goal is to take your tracks to the next level, ensuring that every sonic detail stands out and delivers the impact you're aiming for. We work across various genres with a wide range of artists, from emerging talent to professionals. Our approach guarantees a professional, competitive sound that’s ready for platforms.
Our Working Process
1- Project Submission
The process begins with the reception of your project files. To ensure efficient and high-quality mixing, we’ll need the following:Stems for each track in WAV or AIFF format.
Tracks should be well-organized and properly labeled.
If you have essential effects or automation, please provide them as separate files.
Tracks must be exported at the same level as in your mix.
Each track must have the same length and starting point.
Tracks must be in tune and aligned to the tempo and key of the project.
Tempo and key must be indicated.
2- Initial Communication
Before starting, we make sure to fully understand your artistic vision. We'll arrange a meeting or exchange messages to discuss:Sound references from other artists or songs that inspire you.
Specific details you want to highlight or aspects you’d like to modify.
If you don’t have a clear reference, we can suggest some based on your musical style.
3- The Mixing Process (If you have only contracted mastering ignore this step).
For us, mixing is much more than a set of technical adjustments; it’s a creative process that elevates music to its fullest potential. Every track tells its own story, and our job is to bring that to life while respecting the artist’s or producer’s original vision. We aim to ensure that each sound not only fits into the space but also conveys its part of the sonic narrative.
Our approach includes:Creativity and Sonic Aesthetics: We don’t just "adjust" levels and frequencies; we see mixing as an artistic extension of the project. Each song has its own character, and our goal is to highlight that unique identity. We use tools like EQ and compression creatively, not only for balance but to add color and emotion. We enjoy experimenting with space and dynamics to ensure key moments in the song truly connect with the listener.
Artist’s Vision: While we bring our artistic touch, we always start with the artist's or producer’s vision. If there’s a sonic reference, we use it as a foundation to create something that feels familiar yet fresh. We maintain constant communication with the artist throughout the process to ensure that every creative decision aligns with their goals. This might involve emphasizing a specific atmosphere or using effects to highlight certain moments.
Use of Space and Dimension: Panning and depth play an essential role in our mixes. We don’t just place elements in the stereo spectrum; we think about how each sound can breathe within the three-dimensional space of the mix. Whether it’s bringing a vocal to the forefront for an intimate connection with the listener or spreading synths across the stereo field, we aim for each element to enhance the spatial feeling of the track.
Automation: Automation is a crucial tool for creating movement and dynamism in a track. Beyond static adjustments, automation allows us to tweak levels, effects, or subtle tonal changes throughout the song. This helps the mix evolve over time, creating smooth transitions or impactful moments that elevate the emotional experience for the listener.
Creative Use of Effects: Effects like reverb, delay, chorus, or modulation aren’t just decorative; they’re integral to the sonic design. We use them to create atmospheres and textures that reinforce the emotional message of the song. For example, we might add a long reverb to a vocal to evoke a sense of loneliness or apply a rhythmic delay to a synth to build tension. We love experimenting to find unique sounds that make the mix stand out.
Every step in the mixing process is designed to ensure the song not only sounds technically great but also evokes an emotional reaction from the listener. The balance between technical precision and artistic creativity defines our approach to mixing.
4- The Mastering Process
Mastering is the final stage to optimize the sound. Here, we ensure your track is clear and impactful across all playback systems.
The mastering process includes:Final EQ adjustments to polish the overall sound.
Limiting to ensure the track has the right loudness without losing quality.
Phase correction and stereo imaging analysis.
5- Revisions and Feedback
We understand that each artist has their own unique vision. That’s why we include up to 10 rounds of revisions to make sure the final result is exactly what you’re looking for. We welcome your feedback, make the necessary adjustments, and send you the revised version.6- Deadlines and Delivery
Turnaround times may vary depending on the complexity of the project. Generally, we offer the following timelines:Mixing: 3 to 5 business days per track.
Mastering: 2 to 3 business days per track.
If you have a tight deadline, we offer express services for faster delivery (at an additional cost).
